I am 90 years old and had cataract surgery on both eyes at Prisma Health Surgery Center twice. Laurie was my nurse on both surgeries. She is an excellent nurse, very knowledgeable, and treated me with love and affection as if I were her mother. I was hesitant about the surgery and she was so kind and helpful and put me right at ease. After the first surgery, I wasn't afraid anymore. When I went for my 2nd surgery a month later I was blessed to have Laurie to help me through it again. Laurie is a true DAISY Nurse for Extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care. I wholeheartedly recommend her. We need more nurses like her.
