Laurie MacFarlane consistently exceeds everyone's expectations on a daily basis. While battling personal illness and enduring relentless rounds of chemotherapy and radiation treatments, she continues to be at work every day without complaint even while enduring excruciating pain.

Laurie is a truely selfless person who would give anyone the shirt off of her back. Her teamwork is amazing and she is always willing to take on department projects that no one else wants to do. She is constantly learning new things to help the department run smoothly. Laurie always puts others before herself in every situation. She is the first to ask team members if they need assistance in their areas. While most people are in a rush to get home to their families, dinner and outside of work life in general, she is always the last one here working diligently on the tasks of the day to ensure proper and accurate charting has been completed. Her attention to detail in every aspect is truly deserving of this award.

Patients, their families and her coworkers always know that Laurie can be counted on to complete any request quickly, accurately and with absolute professionalism. Her ability to remain such a positive light during a very difficult time personally is a true testament to her character and DAISY spirit.
