Laurie Rathbun 2, RN

Laurie was taking care of an end of life patient. The patient wanted a visit from his dog. The family was unable to bring the dog for a visit. Laurie had her husband bring her retired, licensed, therapy dog to the hospital. The patient thought this was his dog. The patient had an emotional visit with "his dog". This act was one of the nicest things I have ever witnessed one human do for another human. Laurie inspires me to be not only a better nurse but a better human.
