I would like to extend a huge thank you to the amazing staff at same-day surgery NM McHenry Hospital. There was one nurse, Laurie, who was my recovery nurse and was extraordinary and compassionate. She stayed with me the most. I will remember her care and hope that every patient gets the opportunity to have a nurse like Laurie. She was very caring and skilled. I thought I was going to go home, but when my lab work came back abnormal, I was told I had to stay overnight. She was able to keep me calm. My room wasn't available, so I felt like she was my one-to-one personal nurse. She carefully watched my vitals and talked to my husband and made my time in recovery a very pleasant experience. She met all of my needs and answered all of my questions.
