I had a repeat procedure that I was very nervous about. Lavanya was my nurse and was not only very professional but also extremely sincere. Right before the doctor came in, I began to feel quite stressed and Lavanya immediately picked up on that. She cared for me both physically and emotionally, and it struck me at that moment how alert she was to my needs, and how sincerely she treated my feelings. I felt not only heard and respected but I also felt like she truly cared. Lavanya continued to support me by raising my concerns with the doctor and by being present not only throughout my procedure but right up until the time I left to go home. As a hospital employee, it is so nice to be on the other end of the staff/patient relationship, especially when a staff member does their profession so well!
