Lea started her shift just as the doctor was telling me that if I didn't dilate faster, I may not be able to have a vaginal birth. I was feeling disappointed and worried about what might come next. She came over and confidently said, "Don't worry, we'll get this baby out." Her confidence reenergized me. Lea stuck with me, coached me through pushing and helped me deliver my baby in the way I had hoped. Without her there, I'm not sure I would have known what to do to move things along. Lea made a huge difference in my birth experience and was instrumental in guiding me towards the best moment of my life.
