Due to the direct and decisive actions of Nurse Antin, a patient's life was saved when a routine endoscopic procedure turned into anything but routine. Immediately following the procedure our patient began to show signs of vascular compromise, their heart rate plummeted and the patient ultimately descended into PEA/Cardiac Arrest. Nurse Antin swiftly began acts with intubation and while chest compressions were undertaken, she calmly directed the code response. Lean Antin is the epitome of a healthcare hero.
