June 2013 Honoree
leah bauman, RN
I (Leah's supervisor) was talking with a patients wife who spoke so fondly of Leah. The wife said "H is so restless at night - around 9pm things get tough for him". She went on to say how appreciative H was of Leah on Christmas Eve when she knew he was restless and went to him until he could get comfortable. Harry later told his wife "Leah got me through Christmas Eve".
A recent OB patient expressed how much she enjoyed Leah and that it felt like they were on the same page and how comfortable she was with Leah.
As Leah's supervisor I see Leah relating to all the various patients they serve and knowing what they need. Leah had done her last semester clinical in Sanford Canby Medical Center, Canby, MN and wrote on her job application that it felt like home at Sanford Canby Medical Center. She herself makes her patients feel at home here.

Thank you, Leah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
