When nurses successfully advocate for their patients; that work promotes good outcomes. Advocacy should always be one of the RNs primary roles and Leah is one of the best. She was able to gain the trust of the family, to show that she will always be the patient's voice, and that is exactly what patients and their families need. I can't say how grateful we are for those like Leah who provide the family with trust that they can know their family members are safe. Leah, thanks for being there for my dad, when I could not be. I am thankful you were his voice that night.
