Leah Dahl, RN

Leah is a skilled, kind, and brave nurse who provides exceptional nursing care. I've witnessed Leah's mindful care when working with some of the highest-risk mental health patients. The way Leah strategically chooses her words and body positioning and offers choices to patients positively impacts their care. She unconsciously models for other staff. Her confidence shines and puts others at ease. When a patient was anxious, she knew how to anticipate his needs. By offering a song, gentle and slow, the complex-needs patient successfully achieved hygiene and wound care goals. She delegates specifically to other staff to make a smooth transition for both staff and patients. She listens to others, both staff and patients, and offers suggestions when needed. The unit operates better with her there. Leah is a great example of what a great nurse is. Her kindness, skills, and bravery give credit to the nursing field.
