Leah is a nurse who gives 100% to her patients each and every day. She is clearly dedicated to the work she does and demonstrates this by her personal connections with people. One story that stands out in my mind that expresses who she is... I think back to the beginning of the COVID pandemic when we started testing patients for the virus. people were scared, anxious, and nervous beyond their control. Patients came into her department feeling all these emotions and concerns. One patient in her care was especially feeling high anxiety and fear of the unknown. her actions with this patient moved me in such a way when we learned the story. She comforted him through this difficult situation by singing a hymnal to him. She connected with him on a spiritual level to bring peace to his spirit during a stressful time.
