February 2025 Honoree
Leah Di Jorio, RN
It is with great pleasure that I write a DAISY nomination for Leah RN from Labor and Delivery. I was a patient of hers and it was my first time in labor, and everything was a new and scary experience for me. Leah was very compassionate and patient with me and my husband. I have scoliosis, and I feared getting the epidural. I knew I wanted the epidural, but I feared the risks/complications of getting it, especially since my scoliosis would make it more complicated. Leah was wonderful in letting me talk about my fears and was great in advocating my concerns to not one, but both Anesthesiologists on call that day. At the end of the day, I did get the epidural, but I also felt seen and that my fears were heard. Thank you so much, Leah, for your kindness, patience, and compassion that day!
Thank you, Leah, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
