Leah believes that time is of the essence and takes a sincere approach to alleviate customer waiting. Leah sets the prime nursing example here at the emergency department at Summerville. Leah shines by exemplifying expeditious nursing care, while at the same time being caring and sharing educational needs with her patients and throughout the department with the newer staff members.
One example came to me via email from the Med Surg Floor here at Summerville, "I just wanted to let you know how appreciative I am of several of your staff members and one, in particular, has been so helpful to the MED/SURG floors, Leah has been involved in the last two codes I've been involved in and she has handled them "Like a BOSS". Very sharp and efficient in both of the codes. She also came to the rescue on B1 last week when I had a patient with low blood sugar and no one could get a working IV, she placed an 18g with the ultrasound like a champ. I've expressed my gratitude to her personally, but it never hurts to tell a boss the good stuff."
Leah has been an asset to the department bringing lots of knowledge with her; she performs like a champ without hesitation. Many physicians have expressed the confidence they have in her and what a joy it is to work with her.
