Leah K Avise, RN, BSN

Leah was exceptional! My father came to the unit extremely ill and with a lot of unknowns as to why. Her compassion, care, knowledge, and leadership made a challenging situation so much better. The staff of G200 work together as a beautiful team, and Leah seemed to help lead the efforts. The staff support one another and treat each other and their patients with such kindness and respect, exhibiting the utmost care possible. Leah included us (family) in my father's care and continually kept us updated and informed. If we had a concern, she addressed it and helped us get answers or connected us with someone who could help my dad. Her incredible working relationship with the hospitalist was evident, and when tests needed to be ordered or done, there was no waiting. The mission of the Sisters is well and alive on G200! In conversation, Leah expressed her love for her job at OSF. I think OSF has a wonderful employee in Leah! We were beyond blessed to have her as my father's nurse!
