Leah was involved in the labor and delivery. She made us feel welcome and comfortable. She spent a lot of time with us and was very good at explaining everything throughout the entire process. My wife labored for 30 hours at which point it was determined that she would need a C-section. Leah was instrumental in preparing us for the surgery. She explained the process in detail and made us both feel as comfortable as possible with the procedure. The baby was delivered successfully but my wife hemorrhaged during her C-section. Leah brought me back to our room with the baby for skin-to-skin and gave me regular updates on my wife’s condition. She operated calmly and proficiently the entire time. When my wife was wheeled up to our room Leah was very efficient in organizing the room and medical gear. She told me how I could help and stayed with us until my wife's condition improved. We could tell that Leah was working very hard without a break. Leah was with us for several shifts after the delivery but in the initial 12 + hour shift Leah performed tirelessly, confidently, and was incredibly helpful.
