When our 15 year old son was admitted to Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with diabetes, our family was scared and nervous.  His nurse, Leah, was exactly the nurse we needed during this difficult time.  Her calm demeanor, sense of humor, and attention to his needs were more than we could have asked for.  She was extremely patient when answering our questions and was able to put our minds at ease.  At the end of his stay, Leah personalized Drew’s new diabetes binder before giving it to him with images and memes of things she learned about our son while he was in her care.  She went above and beyond and we appreciated all the little things she did to make a positive impact on our hospital stay.
