In the tele unit I was a little nervous because I have never been admitted to the hospital before. When Leah introduced herself she did her assessment she listened to me. She was very compassionate, empathetic, and attentive to all my needs. Leah has a warm and welcoming way about her she gave me the feel like I'm going to be ok and that is so important as a first-time patient. It was intimidating being at the mercy of someone else. My stay here when Leah was my nurse was so so smooth. She was very attentive; if I needed meds she quickly and promptly got them as soon as possible. She was very informative and if I was unclear on something she reassured me.

Atrium is very lucky to have such an amazing nurse; she truly is an asset to the unit and Atrium. Nurses such as Leah can be the difference of a patient's willingness to come back in a time of need. Words that come to mind to describe Leah are compassionate, empathetic, caring, reassuring, informative, and a true caregiver from the heart. She holds her title of a RN with compassion for others and her helpfulness is commendable. I will be forever grateful for my experience with her.
