During my father’s recent hospitalization, we had the privilege of being cared for by Leann. My father is 83 years old, fragile both physically and medically, and naturally, our family was very anxious. From the moment she walked into the room, Leann demonstrated not only exceptional clinical skill but also remarkable intuition and compassion.

Even though the unit was clearly short-staffed, she never made us feel rushed or like we were a burden. Instead, she took the time to listen carefully to our concerns and thoughtfully applied her clinical judgment to ensure my father received the best care possible. As a physician myself, I admit that I am not easily impressed when it comes to clinical excellence. However, Leann’s ability to combine technical skill, attentiveness, and genuine kindness truly set her apart.

She exemplifies the very best of what nursing should be—knowledgeable, intuitive, patient, and deeply compassionate. Leann’s care not only provided comfort to my father but also tremendous reassurance to our entire family.
