Leann Brown, CMSRN, was chosen for her caring, compassionate manner in which she treats her patients and their families. Her nomination came from a co-worker who observed her in the middle of the night, after her shift ended, sitting with a woman who was waiting for her husband who was in surgery. The coworker initially assumed Leann was with a family member. She later realized Leanne never met the woman before and didn’t want the woman to be alone. Leann chose to stay with her until her husband was out of surgery.
