I was admitted to the hospital emergency station at 8:30 AM. At 11:00 AM, I was in surgery for critical surgery. I had part of my colon removed and my appendix. Expected breathing tube, blood transfusion, and ICU. For two weeks I had many problems- at one time (I was) very unhappy with my doctors and several of my nurses, but there was one young lady that stood out above and beyond—Miss LeAnn.
LeAnn took the time to listen, took notes, (and) helped to explain my medicines. I was so lucky to have her in my life for 9 to 12 days, in which we began a friendship and understanding. I think a nurse-patient relationship is very important. Miss LeAnn filled that spot in my stay--Thank God! I believe her input helped in my recovery. She truly is an asset to this hospital and sets an example for all your staff to learn there's more to it than just passing out medicine and taking blood pressure. She’s truly a special person and plus to this hospital. You should have a hundred like her.
