I visited Baptist Hardin with my five-year-old son. Due to his symptoms and my lack of knowledge as it relates to his symptoms, as a concerned parent, I was extremely stressed and anxious.
While sharing my child’s health history with the nurse, the stress of the situation took over me. In your emergency department, I had a mental breakdown, which in turn caused me to cry uncontrollably. I was terrified, and I could not control my emotions. Nurse Leanne Wilson stayed with me, not only comforting me but also hugging me until I stopped crying. At that moment, I was completely at peace and found safety in her presence.
Leanne assured me that my son was in good hands, and she gave me confidence that the team would take great care of my son. I am so grateful to have connected with Nurse Leanne. She went above and beyond, and I am extremely grateful for her presence.
