She truly exemplifies a transformational leader by her ability to work across all departments within the Health System and create collaborative, productive interdisciplinary relationships.
Dr. Lee Galuska, Executive Director of Nursing Practice, Education and Research at the UCLA Health Center for Nursing Excellence (“the Center”) is an inspirational leader who has transformed nursing practice at UCLA Health.

Since joining UCLA Health, Lee successfully led UCLA Health hospitals through five successful Magnet® designations in a 6-year period. Her tireless efforts have allowed her to create all of the structures and processes required to enhance transformational leadership, structural empowerment, exemplary professional practice, new knowledge, innovations, and improvements. She truly exemplifies a transformational leader by her ability to work across all departments within the Health System and create collaborative, productive interdisciplinary relationships. She lives the UCLA Health Mission and Vision by delivering acts of kindness to everyone she encounters; patients, staff, and the members of the community.

Recognizing the tremendous value and expertise the Clinical Nurse Specialist brings to patient care, Lee championed and consolidated the Clinical Nurse Specialist program. In every sense – Lee is a nurse leader among Leaders.
