April 2013 Honoree
lee holt, RN
A patient's wife wrote: My husband had multiple delays prior to his surgery and we both were having a lot of worries and anxiety. Lee, in the pre-op department, assisted us above what is required of a nurse. I have a medical history and we live 2 hours away. To help relieve my husband's worry about me getting our luggage from car to the hospital, Lee called for assistance. Security and Lee took me to the car and got our luggage. I am a nurse myself and I appreciate knowing that there are nurses who take care of the patient as a whole. Small or large, things like this can help relieve anxiety that comes when you have family having surgery for a critical illness.
Thank you, Lee, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
