Lee made me feel like family when I had none, even going as far as to share photos of his son with me.
Lee Miller has treated me like a person. He has answered all of my questions and took very good care of me. I have a brain injury and he had to explain over and over some things. He did it with patience. He made me feel like I mattered.

Lee is patient, respectful, kind, and heartwarming. He has a pleasant personality, answers questions, encouraging, explaining the reason for certain medications, applying moisturizing lotion to my "eczema" legs and feet. No one has ever done that before! Brought me much-needed toilet paper when asked. He is a good listener! He answers ALL my questions. He is definitely the most exceptional nurse I've ever had!

I have been here 16 days. In that time period I spent 15 alone thus far due to COVID-19, but thanks to Lee it didn't always feel that way. He made me feel as though I was being taken care of by a brother. He held my hand when I was afraid, he lotioned my back when I was itching. He even styled my hair when I was in too much pain to do it myself. He made me feel like family when I had none, even going as far as to share photos of his son with me. Among all of that he always made sure I knew exactly what meds I was taking and what they were for and broke down every procedure I was undertaking, so I wouldn't be afraid. Lee also made sure that I knew that I have a say in my treatment! I can honestly say Lee is the very best example of what nursing should be! I was never once forgotten belittled, kept in the dark, ignored, or put on a back burner. Thank you, Lee.
Note: This is Lee's 2nd DAISY Award!
