It is with great admiration and respect that I nominate Leeann Krick for the DAISY Award in recognition of her extraordinary contributions and unwavering commitment to compassionate care. After a remarkable career dedicated to serving the patients of Baptist Medical Center, she will retire at the end of this year, leaving behind a legacy that will be felt by all who have had the privilege of working alongside her.
Throughout her entire nursing career, she has demonstrated what it truly means to be a patient advocate. She consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her patients, ensuring that they receive the best care possible. No request is too small, and no challenge too great for Leeann to tackle. She speaks up when it matters, always ensuring that her patients' voices are heard and their needs are met with the utmost urgency and respect.
Her exceptional work performance is evident in every aspect of her role. She demonstrates exceptional teamwork, not only with her patients but also with their families and fellow team members. Leeann has earned the respect and trust of all those she encounters, consistently offering kindness, empathy, and professional expertise. Her heart is as big as her passion for nursing, and it is clear to all who work with her that she truly cares.
As a preceptor, Leeann has been an invaluable resource to numerous nurses who have had the privilege of learning from her. Her willingness to share her knowledge and experience has made her the go-to person for guidance and mentorship. Her dedication to teaching and nurturing the next generation of nurses speaks volumes about her commitment to the profession and to Baptist Medical Center.
While we are excited for Leeann as she embarks on this well-deserved retirement, we cannot help but feel the void her departure will leave. She has been a true asset to our team, and her presence will undoubtedly be irreplaceable. We are proud to celebrate her incredible career and the impact she has had on the lives of the patients and families she has served.
