I want to strive to be like LeeAnn when I start my nursing career.
I am a very young girl dealing with a serious and scary spinal cord tumor. I am also going to be a nurse in a few short weeks as I graduate with my BSN. Tonight, I all of the sudden hit a low and was very emotional. LeeAnn came up to me with so much warmth and kindness. She held my hand and talked about her faith and mine. She’s one of the best RNs I have ever been around due to her compassion to give care outside of the physical realm. She made me feel safe and calmed me down to where we could have a deeper conversation about my illness. The way she carries herself portrays this calming confidence like you could tell her anything. I appreciate an honest nurse and LeeAnn is. She deserves to be recognized for her outstanding patient care. She is incredible and MU is lucky to have her. I want to strive to be like LeeAnn when I start my nursing career. There are so many good things about this individual, and I want her to know she’s been a positive light in my struggle.
