Leedavid goes above and beyond every shift to help all of his teammates, coming in and helping to check in a patient, start a line and labs, you name it, he is there without even having to ask.
I work in construction and was opening a bag of thin set, and the powder got into my right eye. I went to the Tipton ER, and Leedavid was absolutely amazing! He explained every procedure before it was done, and he reassured me things were going to be ok; the trust I had in Leedavid was 100%! I was worried about my vision. He helped me relax. This nurse makes the world a better place when emergencies happen. He is an asset to your company! Thank you for a great experience!

I brought my 9-year-old daughter to get stitches on her face. Leedavid was very calming, answered all her questions, and went above and beyond to take care of her. Her first visit to the ER could have been very traumatic, but instead, she went away talking about this nurse. Very much thanks to him and the rest of your great staff!

I have worked in emergency services for 14 years now. Leedavid is a Nurse who truly stands out to me and made an impact in my life. I currently work as a Paramedic for IU Tipton Hospital in the ED, but also just finished Nursing school and will be working as an ER Nurse for IU Tipton.

Leedavid goes above and beyond every shift to help all of his teammates, coming in and helping to check in a patient, start a line and labs, you name it, he is there without even having to ask. He makes sure to check in on his teammates throughout the day to see if they need help, a break, or even just checking on their well-being for the day.

When it comes to education, I would say please put every single nursing student, new nurse, new hire, etc., with this nurse; his skills and knowledge are what an exemplary nurse resembles. Leedavid makes sure his patients are not discharged without proper education, taking time to answer every question and demonstrate any skill needed for that patient to succeed at home.

Knowing that I am a student nurse and a new nurse, this nurse has taken time to share knowledge and skills with me so I too can succeed with my nursing career. On December 29th, 2024, there were two back-to-back intubated patients at IU Tipton, a patient like that takes all hands and skills in a minimally staffed, critical access hospital like IU Tipton. Leedavid took both patients without complaint, without hesitation. He performed excellent patient care, handoff reports to IU Lifeline, family updates, and education. All while teaching not just me, but also a surgical nurse who came down to help.

He never misses a beat, and if he is ever stressed, you would never know it. If I am being honest, I should and will nominate every Nurse in the Emergency Department at IU Tipton. Just like Leedavid, they are the reason I am choosing to continue my career at IU Tipton Hospital.

The nurses I work with at IU Tipton ED are go getters- hard workers, do no sit on their phones, or delay patient care for own personal matters and they are all always looking to better themselves, seeking educational opportunities to better serve the patients. As a nurse at IU Tipton you have to be well-rounded in so many subjects due to it being a critical access hospital and every nurse, especially this nurse has it in the bag. I am so honored to be apart of this team and to have nurses like this nurse mentoring me along the way.
