I was recently a patient for the delivery of my second child and I had the pleasure of spending several hours with daytime L&D nurse, Leigh Ann Cadick. She was phenomenal. She went above and beyond to assure me that this was MY birth experience and she would do everything in her power to make it a positive one for me. She spoke about empowerment and how a woman's birthing experience plays into this. Leigh Ann was supportive beyond words. She was calm, social, and friendly. I was so comfortable with her in the room. She was very encouraging of my desire to attempt a VBAC and be successful with it. She continuously assured me that I was on track to have a successful VBAC (which I did thankfully!) I feel very fortunate that I was assigned to her that day. Leigh Ann is confident and caring and made a positive impact upon my birthing experience. I didn't want to say goodbye to her when I transitioned to the post-partum unit!
