Leigh Ann Krabousanos, MSN, RN
Ms. Krabousanos has been a nurse educator and faculty member at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) for 8 years. She teaches in the BSN program as a clinical instructor and is the Clinical Coordinator for all Medical Surgical Nursing (Caring for Adult Clients) clinical rotations. Ms. Krabousanous touches students early on in their program during the second semester of patient care experiences.
Her nominator wrote, “When I entered my 2nd semester, I was scared and insecure. I doubted myself and when I found out I had Ms. K, I was really nervous. She has a reputation for being tough. I was a puppy with its tail between its legs! She was tough, strict, and challenged us every day (which was frustrating at times). She pushed us out of our comfort zone every shift. She guided us, encouraged us, corrected us, and most importantly, SHE CELEBRATED US in all our victories. She has made a lasting impression and has strongly shaped my future in nursing. She helped me trust myself and believe in myself. She pours her heart and soul into every student she has. . . .”
