Leigh is a vital member of our team. She embodies compassion, empathy, integrity, and safety.
Whenever a patient is in need, Leigh is there to help regardless if that patient is assigned to her. Her intuition is spot on, she can sense what a patient's needs are before they are announced, advocates for her patients and makes sure all their needs are net before walking off the unit.
She is a team player that goes over and beyond the expectation to assist her coworkers. Each night she is on the CUPW side of our unit she makes sure to set up the day shift for success by organizing the med room, updating the report sheets, filling out paperwork that is to be sent off the next day, and much, much more.
Her ability to connect with patients is profound. Patients continually tell our charge nurses how Leigh made them feel heard, cared for, and safe. She knows how to create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and healing. Her excellent caregiving, compassionate heart, core values, and hard work set her apart.
