Leighanna Shade, RN

When Leighanna Shade first met my brother, she immediately made him feel special by anticipating his every need. My brother has Down Syndrome and is non verbal. She took the time to get to know him by asking me questions about him and how he can be communicated with. She greeted my brother each day with a smile on her face and compassion in her heart. She made sure that he was comfortable and well taken care of. She stayed on top of any changes to his medications, dietary needs and kept me informed of the various departments that he needed to see each day. Leighanna also made sure that my needs were met while staying at the hospital with him.
