Leighkyn is a kind and compassionate nurse and person. Leighkyn had a patient who was pregnant with twins, this mother was homeless and resides in a shelter. The patient hadn't been able to eat much because she was so ill and she in passing mentioned to Leighkyn that the only thing that sounded good to eat was Chinese food, specifically crab rangoon. The patient did not ask Leighkyn to get her food or tell Leighkyn she could not afford it. However, Leighkyn took it upon herself to get this lady some Chinese food. It was a kind and compassionate gesture and speaks to the kind of person Leighkyn is. This is just one small, but meaningful, example as to why Leighkyn is a true DAISY Nurse.
