Leila coordinated with everyone in the hospital to make sure she was discharged today, and tonight my mom is comfortably resting at ACC.
I need to take a moment to recognize Leila and how wonderful she is. My 88-year-old mom fell on Friday night and went to the emergency room with a broken hip. Obviously, we weren’t allowed to stay with her because of COVID. She was admitted to the hospital on Saturday and had surgery on Sunday. We had a lot of questions and asked to speak to the doctor at least six times, but he never contacted us. We had no idea what exactly had been done, or what to expect going forward. It was extremely frustrating.
This morning I contacted Leila with questions about her discharge, and not only did Leila answer all of my questions, she also went above and beyond. She contacted the doctor and he called me within minutes! She reached out to our preferred nursing home and secured a bed. She kept me informed of everything she was doing, and everything that I would need to know. She coordinated with everyone in the hospital to make sure she was discharged today, and tonight my mom is comfortably resting at ACC. I honestly have never met anyone as forthcoming as Leila. She addressed all of our concerns and eased our minds about our mom’s care. This is an incredible gift, and I am so thankful that she was my mom’s discharge planner. Thank you, Leila.
