I was very miserable with my left arm in an immobilizer for shoulder surgery and very sick from an unexpected DVT/PE. When Leila arrived the morning after my admission, my first complaint was about a bed I could not get out of. She fixed that immediately by bringing me an orthopedic bed. My appetite was not normal and Leila got me fruit and crackers that I could tolerate. She checked on me many times during her shift to encourage me and reassure me. As the Charge Nurse, she made sure everyone was providing me with the care I needed.
