My child suffers from Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, and chronic lung disease. He has been hospitalized on multiple occasions. He sometimes ends up acquiring a second infection while in the hospital. Leila has taken care of my son a few times and each and every time she goes above and beyond in making sure the room is cleaned, IV lines have not expired, and his suctioning tools are changed and cleaned constantly. On top of that, she provides all the complex care my special son needs. She makes sure that his hygiene is taken care of. When I walk in the room I immediately notice the room clean, my son clean and she always gives me a detailed report of any changes and the plan for the day. Throughout the day she shows tremendous compassion and care for my son. As a mother of a fragile child, all of these qualities are so important to me. I feel great comfort knowing that when Leila is taking care of him I don't have to worry about him contracting a secondary infection because Leila is so detailed and careful in everything she does.
Leila is a remarkable nurse and she exemplifies the VALUES of Kaiser Permanente Nursing. She provides EXCELLENT care, with INTEGRITY and COMPASSION; she is a TEAM player, extremely PROFESSIONAL, and keeps the PATIENT AND FAMILY IN THE CENTER of everything that she does. Leila truly is an Extraordinary Nurse.
