Leilani’s warmth and caring spirit provided an atmosphere where my mom felt secure and comfortable. Leilani immediately got to know my mom, not just as a patient but as the kind woman she is.
My mother, a 93-year-old, was admitted to Unity after becoming unconscious three times at her assisted living facility.

Leilani’s warmth and caring spirit provided an atmosphere where my mom felt secure and comfortable. Leilani immediately got to know my mom, not just as a patient but as the kind woman she is.

Leilani asked questions, recognizing my mom’s old age dementia. She spoke in a calm tone, smiling and conversing as she did the required duties. She got to know my true mom within hours.

She talked to my mom, providing key pieces of my mom’s past, which allowed my mom to share stories, oftentimes stories that Leilani has already heard.

Leilani’s strong relationships carry over to others. Any staff member who entered the room showed a professional and caring relationship with Leilani.

Leilani made sure my mom got up and walked to stay strong. She pushed her to remain strong and positive. Leilani shared what my mom did or what tests had been completed while I was not at the hospital. She kept me informed!

I am so impressed with Unity staff, all staff. Those who cleaned the room, and those who helped my mom to the restroom. Those at the entry security and the kind women in the dining hall.

I was not happy when I learned my mom got transferred from Mercy, and now I am so glad she was moved.

Thank you, Unity Staff!
