LeKeisha Neely is a role model for the nursing profession. Every day that she works (and often when she's not at work), she goes above and beyond to advocate for her patients. LeKeisha invests herself in the patients' best interest the moment that she meets them. As an apheresis nurse, she ensures that her patients are seen immediately and that their time in the infusion clinic is kept to an absolute minimum. To accomplish this, she must collaborate with several different teams throughout the hospital. She does this seamlessly, always staying steps ahead of any potential 'gaps.'
She also goes above and beyond for her coworkers. Working closely with the ECMO department, she ensures that apheresis procedures are staffed, even if it means coming in on her days off or in the middle of the night! She is always willing to be an extra set of hands for the ECMO department or any of the units as well. On top of all of this, she demonstrates excellent customer service throughout the hospital on a daily basis. She greets every person in the hallway with a smile and a 'hello,' routinely helping visitors find their way and checking up on fellow employees.
LaKeisha Neely invests in the lives of her coworkers just as much as she does her patients, always willing to lend an ear or help out in any way.
