Lenice McDaid, RN

My husband had been admitted to the ward after he had a suspected stroke at home. The morning after his admission I was told that he was been discharged with no acceptable diagnosis. I came in to pick my husband up, but I had concerns. When I was buzzed in, Lenice was my first point of contact; I explained my concerns that I wasn't happy with my husband being discharged and told her my reasons, and not having an MRI was one of them. She listened and was very reassuring, but I was stilln't convinced. She contacted the doctor and voiced my concerns to the doctor. We later had a meeting with the doctor, and it was agreed an MRI would be done. She was just brilliant and kept us informed at all times. Nothing was too much bother. The outcome spoke for itself...the MRI detected an issue and my husband proceeded to get the tests and treatment needed. Lenice fought my corner, she was my shining star. She has been so supportive of my husband and me. If only we had more Lenices! A credit to her profession.
