This past winter, the lives of my husband and me changed forever. We were admitted and worked up and found out that our sweet baby of 20 weeks would more than likely not make it past the week or to term due to cervical issues and pre-term labor. That night at about shift change, my body was starting the process of labor.
Lenora without thinking twice stepped in and attended to my every last minor need. She was consistently assuring pain and comfort both physically and mentally were taken care of. At the time of the delivery of my sweet baby, Lenora was the only one present with me. She did everything from calling for help to carrying and handling my baby with so much care and grace.
Lenora was attentive to details of not only my physical health but my emotional health. There are truly no words to express the gratitude my husband and I have for her. What was supposed to be a very traumatic and painful experience was a peaceful and comforting experience. As I leave the hospital, I will hold her presence, grace, and utmost care so dearly in my heart. The loss of my baby will forever have a comforting and peaceful memory for as long as I live.
