Leonides Franco has worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit since 1987. She is a calm presence in our unit and is known for her teamwork, compassion and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
Leonides is extremely knowledgeable in regard to the profession of nursing. She is often referred to as a “walking encyclopedia” and is frequently used by staff as a resource for questions. She serves as a preceptor and mentor for new nurses in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
As a testament to her skills in knowledge she maintains her Certification in Post Anesthesia Nursing.
She is committed to providing care, comfort and support to all patients in the Perioperative Department and for this and all she does she deserves the DAISY award.
