Known to us all as Ms. O’Neil, this nurse has given 30 years to our organization. I have found that she has developed herself from staff nurse to Head Nurse to Acting Assistant Director for the busy Maternal and Child Division.

Ms. O’Neil has dedicated her services to her patients and team, always putting the patients and mothers first as her priority.

An example of this is her dedication to supporting and training her staff and mothers on the prevention of IV infant infiltration in pediatrics, as well as encouraging mothers to breastfeed their newborn infants.

Ms. O’Neil goes above and beyond supporting her nurses who have sudden situational problems, such as a sudden illness in the family in their home country. Ms. O’Neil will support the staff who have to suddenly go home by arranging time off work, getting exit visas and flights, and following up with them at home.

This is a true DAISY Nurse whose priority is her patients, their mothers, and her staff as her first priority.
