Leseanda was my daughter's nurse when she came in to have her baby. Leseanda truly went above and beyond for her. She was very attentive (in the room often). She asked if we needed anything every time she came in. She helped calm all of our nerves. She is very professional and shares her knowledge in a way that made us all feel that everything was going to be ok. My daughter did not want to have a c-section if she could avoid it. It was established that should have to have a c-section therefore I would not be able to be with her. This frightened me as I have always wanted to be close by to protect her during the scary times in her life. Leseanda said she would be "the stand-in mom". After the baby was born and for the next two days Leseanda continued to be as attentive as the first day. She may not realize how much she impacts the patients and families that she comes in contact with, so I wanted to make sure that this time she did. My family and I thank her so much for simply being who she is..."An Amazing Nurse."

A few weeks later my sister was in the department after having surgery. Yet again, Leseanda was that nurse that went above and beyond. Again showing kindness and compassion without being asked. She offered. She is a truly special nurse. I am thankful for her.
