We have a new cancer patient with CNS lymphoma which has left her with expressive aphasia. Recently the patient indicated that was in need of something. Leslee took the time to sit with her and through multiple tries of "playing the word game" finally came up with she wanted French fries from McDonald's. Alexa went to McDonald's and bought fries for the three of them. The patient was elated and had the biggest smile ever! Both nurses sat down with the patient and ate French fries with her and watched her favorite TV show. She started crying and when they asked what was wrong, she said clearly, "I'm happy".
