Lesley was part of a team of nurses that helped coordinate an effort to take a patient outside. This patient had been in the hospital for 30+ days and had seen nothing but hospital walls the entire stay. This patient was not allowed any visitors during this admission. He was feeling down and just plain struggling. The nurses took him outside for fresh air and sunshine. He was crying tears of joy and showed great appreciation for what this team of nurses had done for him. This was a perfect example of the IU Health Values!
