It is hard to summarize in just a few words what kind of nurse Leslie is. The words compassion, caring, extraordinary, and empathetic are just a few of the words that come to mind. She is a nurse that will go above and beyond. She accepts and embraces challenges, and always sets high standards for the unit. She ensures that our patients feel safe, well cared for, and supported during their stay here.
Most recently, a patient left a necessary piece of equipment at the hospital. The patient lived 40 minutes away and was unable to drive back to the hospital for the equipment. After working a 12-hour shift, she offered to drive the needed equipment to their home and personally deliver it to the patient. She did this willingly, and with the same kindness and compassion that she always shows our patients and staff.
This is only one small example of the many things she has done for the unit and for TriHealth. It is truly an honor to work with such an extraordinary nurse. Nominating her for the DAISY award is a small gesture of our appreciation and the love we all share for her.
