It is my honor to recognize Dr. Leslie Bigler, our ICU Educator, with the DAISY Nurse Leader Award.
Over the past several years, Leslie has been an extraordinary leader, mentor, and advocate for our ICU team. Many know her as an exceptional educator, but what truly sets Leslie apart is her unwavering commitment to our staff, our patients, and their families.
Leslie has transformed education within our ICU, creating a supportive environment where nurses can build confidence, develop advanced clinical skills, and provide the highest level of care. Through her leadership, our team has expanded its capabilities to care for increasingly complex patient populations and support the growth of critical programs across our hospital.
Beyond her expertise, Leslie's presence is felt every day. She is always willing to teach, mentor, problem-solve, and support staff at the bedside. She makes herself available to all shifts and consistently goes above and beyond to ensure our team feels prepared, empowered, and successful.
Her dedication has strengthened our culture, improved patient care, supported staff development, and helped our ICU thrive. Leslie leads with compassion, excellence, and humility, and she embodies everything the DAISY Leadership Award represents.
