Leslie is someone I would trust one of my own family members with. Besides being incredibly knowledgeable and precise, she is thoughtful and compassionate beyond words. I remember one shift where her patient had been changed to comfort care/withdrawal of care. The elderly lady was extubated and all she wanted was a sip of Gatorade. Leslie took the time to try several vending machines on several floors to try and find the right drink eventually using her own money to purchase the Gatorade. She rushed it back to give her a few sips before she passed away. These kinds of acts are typical of Leslie. She inspires me to be a better nurse.
