I am writing to nominate an outstanding registered nurse from the Emergency Department for this recognition. My experience in the ER was one that could easily have been overwhelming and frightening, but this nurse made an extraordinary difference through her exceptional care and compassion.
From the very beginning, she took the time to clearly explain every step of the process, what was happening, what to expect, and why each procedure or assessment was being done. She never made us feel rushed or like our questions were an inconvenience. Her explanations were thorough, patient, and delivered in a way that was easy to understand during a stressful time.
What truly set her apart was her genuine empathy. She demonstrated a deep, sincere concern for our well-being, not just medically, but emotionally. She checked in on our comfort regularly, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and ensured that we felt safe, heard, and cared for throughout the entire visit. Her kindness was evident in every interaction.  A reassuring word, a calm and steady presence, and a warmth that made a difficult situation far more manageable. She went above and beyond in every sense, ensuring not just our physical needs were met, but our overall comfort and peace of mind as well. This nurse embodies everything extraordinary about the nursing profession. She is a true credit to your emergency department and your entire hospital. I wholeheartedly believe she is deserving of this honor, and I am grateful to have been in her care.
