Leslie was by far the most kind, compassionate, attentive, and helpful nurse I've ever had. When hospitalized I was having difficulty with communication with my doctors, she quickly helped me solve the problem and gave me the patient advocacy number. She made sure they fulfilled my needs and maintained a happy patient. During my stay I was also told I may have to have my toe amputated, naturally I began crying hysterically and Leslie walked in, smiled, listened to me talk and then hugged me. That hug made my tears stop and a smile return to my face. During the remainder of my stay she continued to check on me (even when she was not assigned to me) to make sure I was still ok. Leslie helped me to maintain my always positive attitude and keep a smile on my face. Her smile is contagious and you can tell she loves what she does. I'm so thankful I had her as my nurse not one day but multiple days. She made sure I was not only ok physically but mentally as well. She also works very well with her fellow nurses and care partners, willing to help in any and all situations. She is very deserving of this award and is very much appreciated.
