July 2026 Honoree
Leslie Tzintzun, RN
My Dad went into cardiac arrest and wound up in the ICU at Moses Cone Hospital. Leslie was our ICU nurse who cared for our Dad. During an incredibly difficult time, she went far beyond her job description to support not only my father, but our entire family. As we faced the heartbreaking transition from fighting to save his life to providing comfort care, she guided us with clarity, compassion, and patience. Over several days, she took the time to explain complex medical information in a way we could truly understand, helping us come to terms with the reality of his condition. Her intelligence and exceptional communication skills were matched by her genuine kindness—she treated us with the same care and empathy as if we were her own family. Her presence brought comfort and dignity to my father’s final days, and we are deeply grateful for the lasting impact she had on all of us.
Thank you, Leslie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
